Jokes in my spam

Has anyone else started getting those spam emails with jokes in them? Undoubtedly, this is another attempt to get passed spam filters, but (I can’t believe I’m saying this) I actually kind of enjoy it. Here’s a funny joke I got today:

A psychiatrist was conducting a group therapy session with four young mothers and their small children… “You all have obsessions,” he observed. To the first mother, Mary, he said, “You are obsessed with eating. You’ve even named your daughter Candy.” He turned to the second Mom, Ann: “Your obsession is money. Again, it manifests itself in your child’s name, Penny.” He turns to the third Mom, Joyce: “Your obsession is alcohol. This too manifests itself in your child’s name, Brandy.” At this point, the fourth mother, Kathy, gets up, takes her little boy by the hand and whispers. “Come on, Dick, we’re leaving”

That’s freakin hilarious. There was some stupid link to get an AMEX merchant account or something afterwards, but whatever. The problem with spam is that it creates no value for the people receiving it. With this idea, they actually do provide some value. I’m not saying that I like spam (I loathe it), but getting rid of it entirely has been unsuccessful. At least this makes it moderately enjoyable.
