I’ve been steadily seeing more and more sites opting for Link Rich homepages. The concept is to make your homepage look more like your sitemap, i.e. instead of featuring just a few ‘key’ content areas, expose lots of deep links and let the users find what they want.
With certain audiences, this is hugely successful and I will certainly start incorporating this concept into future designs. It’s a classic case for Conversion Design where the ‘pretty’ homepage isn’t necessarily the best performing.
